Hullabaloo: Basically the Equivalent of Bon Jovi for Kids in San Diego

Hullabaloo: Basically the Equivalent of Bon Jovi for Kids in San Diego

The rain continued today…so we headed out to Mission Hills Library for our very first Hullabaloo concert.  I’ve seen Hullabaloo mentioned in countless “Mom Group” Meetups and Facebook posts.  Kids and parents love this guy…and now I can proudly say that we’ve seen him live…ooh…yeah!

Sure enough, the house was packed at the library.  It was San Diego SAHM Mecca (or maybe hell…?). Tons of dancing toddlers and babies.  Estelle opted to sit in my lap and reach into my purse for snacks for most of the time, but she really go into it when Hullabaloo gave out little egg maracas to sing “La Cucaracha.”

He sang classic children’s songs accompanied by his acoustic guitar, including my favorite – “You are my Sunshine.” But even better, he plays original stuff, which is fun, loving, and upbeat.  The kids loved it.  He had lots of props for everyone to play with.

His sets are usually about a half-hour long, so be try to be on time in order to get the whole set in (I know it can take us that long just to get out of the house some days).

This guy is BUSY – check out his schedule out here.  He plays all over San Diego and North County.  He is even hosting a music festival for families on April 30th.

Go check him out, you won’t be sorry.

I’m so happy to see Hullabaloo is still rockin’! My kids first Hullabaloo concert was on a blanket in Spreckels Park about seven-ish years ago! This guys has a huge heart and I love that all you mamas and kiddos got to experience the joy he shares!
